Physical Education at Colwich

‘You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.’

Michael Phelps

At Colwich CE Primary School, we value the importance of physical education, not only for the impact it has on physical health, but also on mental health and wellbeing. We want our children to develop a love for physical exercise, and through Forest schools – a love of the outdoors, therefore gaining an understanding of how exercise can positively impact their health and wellbeing. We want them to experience a range of different sport and exercise so they find something they can enjoy. As a result, we intend to deliver 2 hours of PE every week within a broad and balanced, as well as extra-curricular opportunities, to help promote healthy and active lifestyles. We intend for our PE to be of high quality allowing physical activity and enabling all children to make good progress.
